A woman suspected of beating a 16-year-old maid to death and burying her body about five years ago has been arrested, police said. Krisna or Mona Suwanpithak, 45, was wanted under a warrant issued on Nov 4 by the Criminal Court. She was arrested at Lanna Resort in tambon Muang Kao of Phanom Sarakham district in Chachoengsao province at 5am on Sunday by a police team led by Pol Col Phumin Poompanmuang, commander of Crime Suppression Sub-division 5. An arrest warrant for Ms Krisna was issued. Ms Krisna has been brought to the CSD headquarters for interrogation.
